Rooster Parmesan Soup

The entire flavours of hen parm in a tasty soup!

substances
    For the breadcrumbs:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup (panko) bread crumbs (gluten-free for gluten-free)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • For the hen parmesan soup:
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 pound boneless and skinless hen breasts (or thighs), reduce into chew sized items
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon purple pepper flakes (non-obligatory)
  • 4 cups hen broth (hyperlink)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (hyperlink)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (hyperlink) (or oregano)
  • 8 ounces pasta (gluten-free for gluten-free)
  • 1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan cheese), grated
  • salt and pepper to style
  • 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon basil (or parsley), chopped
instructions
    For the breadcrumbs:
  1. Soften the butter in a small pan, add the breadcrumbs and garlic powder, combine nicely and prepare dinner till flippantly golden brown earlier than setting apart.
  2. For the hen parmesan soup:
  3. Warmth the oil in a big saucepan over medium warmth, add the hen and onion and prepare dinner, about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the garlic and purple pepper flakes, combine and prepare dinner till aromatic, a few minute.
  5. Add the broth, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and pasta, deliver to a boil, scale back the warmth and simmer till the pasta is tender, about 10 minutes, mixing each couple of minutes.
  6. Add the parmesan, combine and let it soften into the broth.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to style.
  8. Divide the soup between oven protected bowls, sprinkle on the mozzarella and broil till the cheese melts, about 2 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle on the garlic butter breadcrumbs and basil and luxuriate in!

Possibility: Use any form of breadcrumbs, I desire panko!
Possibility: Add 1/2 teaspoon floor fennel seeds, together with the garlic.
