Creamy Lemon Hen Pasta

A vibrant and creamy lemon pasta with pan seared hen.

components
  • 8 ounces pasta (gluten-free for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound boneless and skinless hen breasts or thighs, pounded skinny
  • 1 teaspoon oregano (or Italian seasoning (hyperlink))
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup hen broth (hyperlink)
  • 1/2 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice (about 1 tablespoon lemon zest + 1/4 cup lemon juice)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to style
instructions
  1. Begin cooking the pasta as directed on the bundle.
  2. In the meantime, soften the butter in a big pan over medium warmth, add the hen, seasoned with the combination of the oregano, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and prepare dinner till golden brown on either side and cooked by way of (165F/73.9C), about 5-8 minutes per aspect, earlier than setting apart, earlier than setting the hen apart.

  9. Add the cooked and drained pasta to the sauce, combine and revel in topped with the hen (optionally sliced).

Choice: Substitute 1/4 cup of the broth with dry white wine and it’s to deglaze the pan.
Choice: Add a pinch of crimson pepper flakes together with the garlic.
