Rose Pasta Sauce (aka Pink Sauce)

A fast and straightforward Italian pink sauce pasta which is a mix of a tomato sauce with a cream sauce!

- 8 ounces pasta (gluten-free for gluten-free)

- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon crimson chili flakes
- 28 ounce can complete peeled tomatoes, crushed by hand
- 1 teaspoon oregano (or Italian seasoning (hyperlink))
- 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
- 1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan cheese), grated
- salt and pepper to style
- 2 tablespoons basil, thinly sliced
