Hello, I’m dumb and I’m undecided what a montmorency cherry is! Is it model? Kind? I looked for them at my WF and couldn’t discover them!
-
Hello Emily! Not dumb in any respect 🙂 it’s a sort of tart cherry that’s grown round Michigan! They need to be within the frozen part at Entire Meals (and are a ruby purple coloration).
-
Emily
replied:Thanks! I’m in Oklahoma they usually didn’t carry them at my Entire Meals sadly 🙁 I might need to only strive utilizing common cherries.
-
Shoot! If you happen to strive others, let me understand how they arrive out 🙂

These turned out superb! Dwelling in Seattle, I used contemporary Washington cherries. I introduced these to a cocktail party and obtained so many compliments! Thanks for the superior recipe!

[comment_content] => Are you able to substitute dried cherries on this combine to make it a shelf secure product? I am pondering of jars for the vacations. If SO, what would you suggest reconstituting the cherries with? Our native USDA Commodities program offers out plenty of dried fruit comparable to cherries, plums, and so on.

[comment_content] => Love these! I could not discover tart cherries, so I had to make use of candy cherries, they usually nonetheless turned out nicely! We ate just a few, after which I froze the remainder. We had them within the freezer for about 3 or 4 weeks, they usually stayed nicely. I simply had an issue with the crumble and base being a bit mushy after they defrosted, so I popped them within the oven for a couple of minutes, they usually crisped up properly! Thanks!

[comment_content] => My dad is a big cherry fan, so I made these for his birthday and he beloved them! Really, everybody beloved them! I used contemporary cherries as an alternative of frozen and the stability between the oat crumble and the cherries was good! The oat crumble was somewhat dry (undecided if it was as a result of I used all-purpose flour) so I added in somewhat further butter. Will certainly make once more!

My dad is a big cherry fan, so I made these for his birthday and he beloved them!

Aw I’m so comfortable you guys all beloved them! Completely satisfied bday to your dad 🙂 I haven’t had points with the crumble being dry so it might need been a results of utilizing AP flour. Good name so as to add further butter!

[comment_content] => My son not too long ago turned vegan and this is likely one of the common treats within the fridge today. Love the flavors but at the moment I’m making an attempt it with peaches and I wager that will likely be good. I exploit contemporary fruit not frozen. I’ve used butter taste coconut oil in addition to vegan butter and there did not appear to be a noticeable distinction. My solely problem with this recipe is it’s a little too crumbly and tends to disintegrate. I attempted final time including in 2 tablespoons of floor flax seeds, which may have helped somewhat. I’m gonna proceed to tweak it and see if I can get the crust somewhat firmer. However general, we like it!

Is it doable that I’m utilizing an excessive amount of (1.5 cups oat flour plus 1 cup oats)? Yours nearly appears like a dough and mine regarded extra like sand with no clumping. I picked my very own tart cherries, made a easy jam, and this recipe was the right automobile. Probably the most elevated nutrigrain bar I’ve ever had! Thanks!

Ohh I really like that comparability! SO superb that you just picked your individual cherries, too. Glad these got here out nice 🙂

[comment_content] => Cherished this recipe.
I used all goal flour and added 4 TBSP of maple syrup and somewhat extra miyoko’s butter. So tasty! I could add just a few crushed walnuts subsequent time.
Love love the tart contemporary cherries. And I’m doubling the recipe subsequent time bc it disappeared into our bellies quick.

Cherished this recipe.

[comment_content] => So DELISH! I desire this to a standard cherry pie bc there’s extra texture. This was such a beautiful approach to make use of my neighbor’s tart cherries. I did use somewhat extra Miyoko’s butter (1/4 cup) and 1 extra TBLS of maple syrup. Didn’t have almond extract so used lemon extract and it was tremendous. The one problem is that it disappeared into our bellies too rapidly. Non-vegan/non-GF pals had no concept that it was egg/flour/dairy free till their bowels had been empty. I just like the So Delish Coconut Whip, however because it’s 4th of July, I could strive Vanilla good cream. Infact I doubled the recipe at the moment to take to a celebration. Completely satisfied Vegan Consuming pals!!!

[comment_content] => Enjoyable and simple to make, and scrumptious! I adopted the recipe precisely, they usually turned out completely. I used to be somewhat frightened that the bars weren’t “set” sufficient after 30 minute at 350 – do comply with the recipe’s route to place the bars within the fridge for just a few hours after they cool. That is what’s going to get them to set properly. I’ll undoubtedly be making this recipe (and related ones on the location) once more. Thanks, Monique and staff!

Cherries are plentiful on the Farmers’ Market proper now, however I’m guessing that frozen can be simpler for this recipe. They do seem like the right breakfast bar to take pleasure in with espresso.
