Make the Béchamel (picture 3). Whisk the butter, flour, and milk till thick; add the Parmesan, nutmeg, sage, salt, and pepper.

Combine the Cheese Layer (picture 4). Mix the cottage cheese, eggs, spinach, mozzarella, and Parmesan.

Assemble (picture 5). Sauce first, then noodles, squash, extra noodles, cottage cheese combination, noodles, squash, the final batch of noodles, and béchamel.

Bake (picture 6). Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on high, then cowl the pan. Place the lasagna in a 350ºF oven and bake for an hour lined after which quarter-hour extra uncovered.
